Fruit nail art series: Oranges ๐ŸŠ๐ŸŠ๐ŸŠ

This is the second post of my fruit nail art series: Oranges! ๐ŸŠ

The main orange color I’m wearing on my pointer and pinky nail, as well as the polish bottle I’m holding is China Glaze’s Papaya Punch. Ironically it was the most accurate orange for this design in my stash, despite being named after another fruit. The clear base with gold glitter on my middle and ring finger is OPI’s Oy-Another Polish Joke!

I decided to accent the orange slices with a cutesy orange print design. For this I used China Glaze’s Papaya Punch and Zoya’s Hunter.

The first two photos are inside with flash. This last photo is under artificial light without flash.

I honestly didn’t know if I liked this design at first, but then I didn’t want to take it off! ๐Ÿ˜ซ You can find the China Glaze nail polishes here, the OPI here, the Zoya here, and the clay fruit pieces here.

Leave a like and comment what you think!

Stay tuned for my next post in the fruit series!๐ŸŠ๐Ÿงก

Fruit series nail art: Watermelon ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ‰

 Hi everybody!

I got a pack of these fruit clay pieces as an extra with an old online order of mine and I honestly had no idea what to do with them. I also wanted to do fruit themed nails so I decided to incorporate the two together. Thus, we have my fruit nail series! The first post in this series is Watermelon nail art.

I decided to do more of a skittle mani for this post. Here I have the little watermelon clay pieces over China Glaze’s Starboard, which I thought was a nice background to let the watermelon pieces pop on top, and still went with the color theme.

The green and gold glitter on my pointer finger is China Glaze’s Running in Circles, which is also the bottle I’m holding. The red on my pinky is China Glaze’s Hey Sailor. These first two pictures were taken outside with natural daylight.

Here is another photo with flash to show a more accurate depiction of the colors.

You can purchase either of the China Glaze polishes from their website. I got the fruit clay pieces from an Amazon order I made a while ago, but I’m sure there are other retailers that sell them as well.

Thank you guys for reading and stay tuned for my other posts of the fruit nail art series! ๐Ÿ‰❤️๐Ÿ’š

Floss Gloss Nail Art ft.: Lean!

 Hey guys!

So today I have nail art with Floss Gloss’s Lean! This is the second post in my mini-Floss Gloss swatch series. The other post in linked here

FG’s Lean is a light purple with some pink mixed in, or essentially a lavender-ish color.

I paired the swatch of this color with some light purple rhinestones and some light purple butterflies, both of which I got from amazon. I decided to place then over a clear polish. The links are attached on the respective products.

Thank you for reading my post! Stay tuned because I have a post coming up swatching my Ciate collection!

Floss Gloss Nail Art ft.: Faded!

Hey guys!

So since getting back into painting my nails, I’ve been trying to incorporate nail art into colors that I have and have not swatched yet, so here I have a brand of polish that you might've heard of: Floss Gloss! Their colors are beautiful and I've heard their formula is amazing, too. So OF COURSE you know your girl couldn't stay away and just had to get her hands on some of their colors! Today I have nail art with Floss Gloss’s Faded to share with you all!

I thought faded would be a good match with China Glaze's Glistening Snow, and boy was I right! They balance perfectly: Faded being more muted and GS with the bling! I chose a leopard design to jazz things up since Faded is a more muted color. I also used two coats of Faded and Glistening Snow for the bases.

Reminds of a wanna-be snow leopard-ish kinda look. Perfect for Winter... or a gloomy day!

I bought Floss Gloss’s Faded at my local Marshall's, but you can also get them on Floss Gloss's Website or other retailers.

I hope you guys liked my nail art with FG's Faded, and I hope you'll stay tuned for another color of theirs I have coming up!

Comeback nail art

 Hi everybody!

It has literally been YEARS since I’ve blogged about my nail art, let alone posted on insta, but I’m back! Truth is, I’ve been wanting to make a comeback for a while, however, school and essentially life kept getting in the way. Now, I’m sure life will still get in the way, however, I have rediscovered my love for nail art and just painting my nails in general, so I am determined to keep up with it regardless of my other commitments. It’s nice to be back!

As you can imagine, taking a several year-long hiatus has definitely taken a toll on my nail art skills, but nevertheless I am posting, because again, I love doing nail art, even if it isn’t the cleanest line work or prettiest execution, and thats what really matters, right? So, without further ado, here is my very simple nail art to mark the return from my break!

Just some easy line work, because clearly I need work on it!

The base is my favorite baby pink, China Glaze’s Friends Forever, Right? and the gold is China Glaze’s I’m Not Lion. I used 2 coats of Friends Forever, Right? and one coat of I’m Not Lion. Top coat is HK Glisten and Glow’s top coat.

And here I included and out of focus picture so you can see the holographic beauty of I’m Not Lion ๐Ÿ˜

Like I said before, its a rough start, but its still a start, and I’m glad to be getting back into things I enjoy doing just for the hell of it. Thanks for reading!

Sunset Tribal Nail Art!

Hey guys! I have more weather appropriate nail art to share with you all, considering how hot it is in Florida right now :/. Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy!

I call this: Sunset Tribal Nail Art!
I know, I know, my line work is not that shy from atrocious, but I just wanted to do it so bad! You guys see what I was going for, right? Anyways, whether it's the bright colors I used underneath or my attempt at line work, I can't stop staring at this mani!

Here's the gradient before the tribal-ish print:
I just love how bright and summery this is! To get the gradient, I first (after base coat of course) painted my nails with 2 coats of a white polish, then used a make-up sponge to apply and blend OPI Cajun Shrimp and OPI Where Did Suzi's Mango?

Then, I used my white polish to freehand the lines! I love how bright yet pastel/peachy WDSM is along with the boldness of CS!

That's all there is to it!

Here's the details of what I used for this manicure:
-Base Coat: Orly Bonder
-White: OPI's Angel with a Lead Foot
-Red-ish pink: OPI's Cajun shrimp
-Orange/Peach: OPI's Where Did Suzi's Man-go?
-Top Coat: HK Girl Glisten & Glow

I'm working on doing a mani basics segment on my blog where I show you how to do easy and simple nail art techniques for those just getting into nail art, and maybe even those who want to try a technique a different way, and I'l definitely include gradients in it! Until next time, guys!

XOXO

Zoya Wishes Collection!

Hey guys! I'm back from my hiatus (hopefully for good this time lol) and I have a new post for you all! This is obviously a long overdue post but I still wanted to put it up for you all. There are a total of 6 polishes in this collection.

Here is an overview of the collection:

Prim

First up is Prim: a dusty periwinkle with a frosted finish. I personally didn't think this looked the best on me, but the color could be appealing to other skin tones. I also wasn't a big fan of the frosted, streak-showing finish, but if you're into those kind of polishes, then I'd recommend this one.

Haven

Haven is a purplely, black shimmer with a slight frosted finish. This one was a shocker for me! I didn't think I'd like this one, but unlike Prim, Haven proved me wrong! The purple is beautiful and I love the deep, black undertones surrounding the polish. The frosted finish wasn't enough to bother me, and the shimmer made it even prettier! A unique polish in all, really.

Willa
Next is Willa, a solid, black, creme polish. A beaut! She's not unique, no, but a perfect staple if you're looking for one! I want to say sometimes I catch undertones of a dusty, navy blue, but maybe that's just my eyes playing tricks on me :P.

Nori

Nori is a medium, ocean blue pixidust with small and large holographic, hexogonal glitters throughout it. She's honestly the reason I was attracted to this collection! I'm a sucker for blues (it IS my favorite color) and when I heard that Zoya came out with a bold, blue, glitter pixidust I just KNEW it would be in my possession, it was just a matter of when.

Thea

Thea is a deep purple pixidust with small and large holographic, hexagonal glitters. I didn't quite get any bigger glitters on my nails--though I did try valiantly--but they're definitely there as you can see in the bottle. Loved this one as well, especially the name!

Imogen

And finally we have Imogen: a black based pixidust with small and large holographic and hexagonal glitters through it. As you can see, the big glitters couldn't wait to get on my nails haha! Anyways, I actually liked this one more than I thought I was going to. I get a cool, galaxy feel from it!

Overall, I'm glad I picked up this collection. I feel like I could've lived without Prim and Haven, but I'm so glad I snagged Willa, Nori, Thea and Imogen. I'd give this collection a 3.5/4 out of 5 stars. If you're looking to purchase some of these beauties, you can get them from Ulta--thats where I got mine--or Zoya's Website. I'm sure there are other retailers out there, but these two are more of the popular ones.

Thanks for reading and I hoped you enjoyed it!

XOXO
