Christmas Present Nail Art

For this nail art design, I decided to recreate a traditional Christmas present design. I think this my favorite I've done so far this year! It's so simple (again, I know lol) but I love the contrast, not just between colors, but also in finish. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

For my base, I used 2 coats of 'Paper Mache' by Finger Paints (again, I know, but I love that white!) and hand painted the lines or 'ribbon' using Zoya Chyna: a sparkly red textured polish. To create the lines, I used a small nail art brush and for the center of the bow, I used a tiny rhinestone stud.

I apologize for my awkward hand pose; this was the best I could do to line up the 'ribbons' haha XD The rhinestone I used for the center of the bow is from a variety sized pack I bought from Born Pretty Store (http://www.bornprettystore.com).

Like I said, the lines were my handiwork, hence why there are lopsided, and now that I look back at it, maybe I should've used some striping tape for assistance XD Regardless, this is still my favorite design I did this year; I love how the white contrasts against the red and how the textured polish pops off the creme polish. I hope you like this too!

Blue Christmas Nail Art

Yay more Christmas nail art! Well, I wouldn't necessarily call this design 'nail art', its more of a design because there isn't any painting going on, but the finished look is so posh! Enjoy!

First off this is definitely NOT the accurate color of this polish, This looks like China Glaze's 'Frostbite', but is really a beautiful and deep navy blue with silver shimmer throughout it. So, for my base, I used 3 coats of Nicole by OPI 'Listen to Your Momager!'. Then, using topcoat and a tiny dotting tool, I placed the crystal nail rhinestones and the beautiful rhinestone Christmas tree charm.

This picture is more color accurate than the one before. The various sized crystal studs I have here I got from Born Pretty Store (http://www.bornprettystore.com) and the gorgeous rhinestone Christmas tree nail charm is from a pack I bought at Sally's Beauty Supply (http://www.sallybeauty.com/).

This design is different from the other Christmas designs I've done so far, as it is more elegant and most likely the simplest and easiest design I'll be sharing with you guys!

Rudolph Nail Art

I'm so excited to share with you guys the cutest Christmas nail art design featuring the well known Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer! Hope you enjoy!:)

As my base polish, I used 2 coats China Glaze's 'Hey Sailor!' (my fav red; its a 1-coater and barely leaves staining!) and for the accent nail I used 2 coats Finger Paints 'Paper Mache'. The white glitter is China Glaze 'Chillin' with my Snow-mies', the Brown is Wet N' Wild 'Distressed to Impress', the sparkly red polish is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 'Red Carpet', and the black is Wet N Wild's 'Black Creme'.

For the 'Snow Glitter Gradient' I created, I manually placed the glitters from CG CWMS using a dotting tool and the polish base to give the effect of snow falling. For the Rudolph nail, I first outlined and filled in a brown half oval. After that dried, I made two smaller ovals for his eyes, and later made even smaller circles for his pupils. While those were drying, I used my paintbrush and WNW BC for the antlers and SH RC for his signature nose.

I know, my painting is very sloppy haha. But to be fair, I am waaay out of practice, yet I thought this design was too not to post! This design is again so cute and pretty simple to do! Hope you guys like this one as much as I do!

Christmas Rhinestone Nail Art

Hello my lovely readers! Today I have a Christmas nail art design to share with you all! I know, I know, Christmas was tester day, but I have honestly been incredibly occupied I couldn't post until now:/ Anywho, without further-a-do, here is my first of a few designs I have coming!:)

For this mani, I decided to recreate a Christmas tree using mini rhinestones. First, I applied 2 coats of Finger Paints 'Paper Mache' as my base and then used a tiny dotting tool and some topcoat to place the rhinestones where I wanted.

The rhinestones I used I actually received as a gift but you can find some relatively cheap at Born Pretty Store 's website (http://www.bornprettystore.com). I love how simple, easy and cute this mani is!Let me know what you think and stay tuned for some more Christmas designs!

Random Swatches!

Hey guys! So this post was originally supposed to be about fall nail polishes but I got so occupied with school and work that I didn't get to post D: So it'll just be a random swatch spam haha! Hope you guys enjoy!

Essie Carry On

First up is Essie's 'Carry On'; a pretty plum purple just asking for nail art! Application was creamy and shown here is 2 coats and topcoat.

OPI Alcatraz...Rocks!
Next is OPI 'Alcatraz...Rocks!' which is a BE-A-U-TIFUL (in the words of Jim Carry) purple textured polish with gold shimmer. Just Gorgeous! I used 2 coats and no top coat to leave the textured effect. Sadly, this picture was take a few moments before I dropped her on my kitchen floor and she broke!:( RIP, beautiful.

OPI My Dogsled is a Hybrid
OPI MDIH is a very unique color; a kind minty, but not so light, bright-ish green. Very pretty nonetheless! I used 2 coats and topcoat.

OPI I Sing in the Coppera
OPI ISITC is a perfect representation of Pumpkin Spice to me! Orange-ish, but with some flair! She's a beautiful rustic orange with duochrome and shimmer. What a beaut! Here I used 2 coats and topcoat.

OP Visions of Love
Oh my GAWD this polish is everything! OPI VOL is a absolutely stunning deep maroon with a hint of burgundy creme. This polish is sooo sexy! She's an absolute MUST HAVE if you are looking for a polish of this shade/style! Shown here is 2 coats and topcoat.

Zoya Sasha
Zoya's Sasha is another must have polish! She's actually a deeper red than the picture is showing, but this is the best I could edit it :/ She's not as deep as OPI VOL, though, but deep and bold at the same time! Here I used 2 coats and topcoat.

I swear, I don't have a thing for reds, but my absolute favs out of this bunch are definitely OPI Visions of Love and Zoya Sasha. I highly aside that you guys give 'em a try-you won't regret it! Thanks for reading and have a great day! <3

Fall Neutral Gradient!

Hey guys! Today I have a Fall appropriate mani to share with you all! I actually did these because it was appropriate for a job interview I had (which I got! :D) and I only realized afterwards that it's perfect for fall! Its subtle yet says something and is easy to do!

The colors I used for this mani are OPI Don't Bossa Nova Me Around and OPI Taupe-less Beach--my two favorite nudes!

I first used FingerPaints Paper Mache for the base, then I painted OPI DBNMA and OPI TLB on a makeup sponge wedge and blended the two on my nails. I then repeated this process until I got the desired opacity.

I ended up liking this nail art more than I expected! I hope you all like this as much as I do!
Feel free to leave questions or comments below!

Went 'N Wild Megalast Limited Edition Matte Fall Collection Swatches and Review

Hello Fall! It is officially my favorite season, even though it did start a little late (I am in Florida after all), and that means not just Pumpkin Spice Latte's, trendy Fall attire or ah-MAZE-ing weather, but also something that us fellow nail polish addicts look forward to: Fall themed Nail Polish Collections! And on that note, I have the Limited Edition Went 'N Wild Megalast Matte Fall Collection to share with you all!

The entire collection consists of 6 matte-drying cremes. I'll be showing them to you guys in order from lightest to darkest.

LAC- My Mani?

First one up to bat is LAC- My Mani?: an off-white, milky creme. A little brighter than most colors like this- like OPI MVIB- but it doesn't change the hue. I loved how this one looked on me! Here I applied 2 coats and no top coat.

Rouge 66

Rouge 66 is a vivid red creme. Gosh I love this one! A bright, assertive, classic red that says enough just by herself! Even my SG4 camera managed to capture how bold she is. Here I applied 2 coats and no top-coat.

So Berry On Trend

So Berry On Trend is a mauve, purple-wannabe, raspberry creme. She's one of those there but not too in your face. Here I applied 2 coats and no top coat.

Careful, It's Vine-tage

Careful, It's Vine-tage is a deep purple creme. She's dark enough to be suited for the fall collection, but not too dark to where you have to contemplate which hue of purple she is. A lighter plum color, if you will. Here I applied 2 coats and no top coat.

Echo Dark

Echo Dark is a rich, navy blue creme. She doesn't exhibit anything special, but I for one are a sucker for this shade! Here I applied 2 coats and no top coat.

Distressed to Impress

Distressed to Impress is a yummy, medium brown creme. Reminds me of chocolate haha! Once again, nothing special, but a staple color for any nail artist/fall enthusiast! Brown can be an awkward shade to wear, not only because certain shades of it might not look well on some skin tones, but also because its not really a nail color. Most people who wear brown often wear it in some form of nail art, but I actually wouldn't mind wearing this color by itself. It has beauty even in its simplicity. Here I applied 2 coats and no top coat.

And that's the entire collection! Overall, I would say I am glad I picked these up: loving the fall hues, the formula was a bit thick but it made it easier to apply, the brush is nice and wide, and they are inexpensive! These do dry matte, but if you want that glossy look, its nothing a coat of your fav top coat won't fix! If you are looking for fall colors this season and you're on a budget, I highly recommend you pick these up at your local Walgreens (where I got mine). Another thing I also admire about this collection is that they are versatile enough so that you can create nail art with them for an overall fall themed look! (Hint, Hint ;D)

Keep in mind that these are a LIMITED EDITION collection, so they won't be around for much longer if they aren't gone already. I would snatch them up ASAP!

Thank you all for reading and I hoped this helped any of you in fall nail polish distress :D

xoxo
